2012 Colorado Model Water Tower Competition: May 12, 2012
The first Colorado Model Water Tower Competition will be held on Saturday, May 12 during national Drinking Water Week. High School students teamed with water utility managers and university students from across Boulder County and surrounding communities will compete for cash and prizes in the first annual Rocky Mountain Model Water Tower Competition. Teams will present their water towers to a team of judges on May 12, 2012 at the City of Boulder.

World Water Monitoring Day™ is an international education and outreach program that builds public awareness and involvement in protecting water resources around the world by engaging citizens to conduct basic monitoring of their local water bodies. In 2009, over 120,000 people in 81 countries monitored their local waterways.

The Stockholm Junior Water Prize is the world's most prestigious youth award for a water-related science project. The prize taps into the unlimited potential of today's high school students as they seek to address current and future water challenges. Students compete at the local, regional and state level by participating in science fairs.
Colorado State Science Fair

The Colorado Science and Engineering Fair is held each Spring at Colorado State University. Students who are chosen by their Regional Science Fair will compete in one of the 12 CSEF categories. Students interested in participating in a science fair competition must follow the the International Rules and Guidelines for PreCollege Research.
